With shaded seats available during this 1-1/4 hour
trip, cruise past the scenic downtown Beaufort Waterfront, Rachel Carson
Reserve, Duke Marine Lab and a large variety of boats before reaching
the calm near shore waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. Our
18-passenger boat is less crowded, making it more personal, and able to
travel in the shallow waters that some others can't reach. We'll travel
in protected waters that harbor a bounty of life. Possible sightings
include birds such as Seagulls, Pelicans, Ibis, Blue Heron, Egrets and
Osprey. While traveling through tidal marshes, estuaries, salt flats
and backwaters, one highlight of the trip is the possible
encounter of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. Hopefully, you will be able
to get some up-close photos of these friendly, playful dolphin as they
feed, tail slap, and jump among the waves. As all of these creatures
are wild, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
